Josh Daymond

Josh Brougham? Jack Daymond? With those haircuts who knows? Despite their identity crisis the formidable president has shown his proficiency both on and off the crag. Since gaining the presidency Josh plans to work hard for the club this year mainly to disprove the rumour that he only ran for the position because he thought he was at the wayfarer AGM. Regardless of this with Daymondo in control the UBMC will go from strength to strength..... to snobs.

Lawrence Bird

Always enthusiastic, and up for anything, Lawrence is great at getting everyone motivated, be it for this year’s Cornwall trip, or a cheeky night out at Snobs. Lawrence has an admirable ability of just getting stuff done and always has some kind of input into everything UBMC. Don't forget that helmet, as safety's at the top of this young man's agenda! We look forward to more of Lawrence this year, and we're sure he's got some ambitious plans in the pipeline.

Josh Smith

One of the friendliest guys around, Josh is this year’s UBMC secretary. He happens to be very organised and is one of the most enthusiastic people you’ll ever meet. Although his sexuality might be questioned by many, UBMC recognises this talent in making him the perfect secretary, a role traditionally filled by women. Josh cares greatly for the people of UBMC, so we're all looking forward to another year with the famous Mr Smith.

Chris Stepanek

Chris is without a doubt one of the keenest committee members in the history of UBMC and this year his commitment is applied to the role of treasurer. His serious discussions on just about everything may bore many, but underneath it all, Chris sometimes actually has something important to say. His methodical and organised manner mean that the finances can’t go wrong in the hands of this fellow, so we look forward to another financially positive year with Chris holding the reins.

Louise Hall

Welcome Louise, one half of the excellent new Social Sec duo! If you can hear past her really high-pitched whiny voice, she’s probably telling you about our next amazing UBMC social. UBMC socials are infamously brilliant, and Louise plans to keep it that way. Louise's main aim this year is keeping her fellow stoats, young and old, topped up with meanie. (If you don’t know what meanie is yet, you better come to our Stanage trip) We look forward to next year with our new Social Sec Louise!

Sarah Wright

Sarah, the other half of the UBMC Social Sec duo, was voted UBMC's Most Enthusiastic Fresher last year, essentially meaning she was frequently drunker than most. She's therefore perfect for the role of UBMC Social Sec and wants to get as many freshers to Snobs as possible, in the hope that they might make her look less of a fool. Always friendly and also noticeably short, we think Sarah will do a grand job and can’t wait to have her on committee this year.

Dan Geh

Definitely one of UBMC’s most enthusiastic climbers, Dan lives for two things: getting a monumental tick list, and chasing older women. Dan loves gear and thinks he’d make a great job of being Gear Sec this year. Applying his enthusiasm to the hectic UBMC gear cupboard can only result in good things. No doubt about it - Dan will be a great addition to the UBMC committee team this year.

Helen Bailey

Also incredibly passionate about gear, let's introduce Helen. Despite her unhealthy taste in older men, Helen's quickly become an important member of the club, and was voted UBMC's Most Improved Climber at the end of last year. She hopes to pass on some of her newly learned skills to the young freshlings this year. The future of UBMC gear looks positive with Helen in control.

Jack Brougham

Jack’s vast knowledge and experience of mountaineering makes him just perfect for this job. Don't believe any rumours about Jack's love for indoor climbing, Jack just loves those mountains, and apparently he knows at least 3. His main role this year is running our winter trip to Scotland, something we are all very excited about. Among other things, Jack's organisational skills are of notable interest. We're all very optimistic about another year with Jack...

Alex Dexter

If you don’t know who Alex is, just look for the topless guy with an incredible amount of muscle next time you’re in Redpoint - chances are it's him. An ambitious climber to say the least, but his main goal this year is leading UBMC's climbing team to success. He’s also very enthusiastic about getting everyone at UBMC as psyched as he is about indoor climbing. Only good things can result from Alex as the UBMC Indoor Sec.

Steffen Cruz

He's a crazy cat, an excellent climber, and rumour has it that he enjoys jumping out of planes. He's even got himself a nice head of dreads, but most importantly, he's a massive computer geek. Steffen uses his fancy computer skills to maintain a website that all clubs aspire to have. We are all very confident that Steffen will do an excellent job as UBMC's first ever Web Sec.
