UBMC Website

UBMC is a Guild of Students society which offers students the chance to enjoy trad/sport rock climbing, bouldering, mountaineering and caving. We offer an equally important social calendar with events running fortnightly. The club welcomes new and experienced climbers and provides gear, training and plenty of enthusiasm and encouragement.

We meet at Creation EVERY Wednesday afternoon, usually from 1pm, but groups do gather at the Guild and go down from Selly Oak. We also have an informal climb on Monday nights at RedPoint. Just turn up to these sessions, or get in touch and arrange to meet us. For more info about Creation and Red Point click here and here.

Currently we are selling the 75th Anniversary UBMC Journal, £5 and have brought back the Stoats’s Tie, £10. If you would like any of these items please post up on FTR!

The Christmas break brought some amazing weather and climbing on our Cairngorms Trip. We look forward now to 5 weekend trips, numerous socials and the continuation the BUBC competition. We will also be running a second SPA Training weekend over Easter; for details check FTR or chat to Tommy.
