Ogwen Trip Report

Ogwen Trip Report

Saturday's weather was not super promising, so we had an efficient start to avoid the rain, with one group going to Little Tryfan to do multi-pitch climbing and another to Craig Caseg Fraith. A few climbs were fitted in by everyone before the rain hit at lunchtime, when everyone scurried back to shelter in the hut!

After much discussion, plans for the afternoon were made and everyone headed off for either a shop, swim or run. The swim was a particular success, with 13 stoats entering the slightly chilly water at Cwm Idwal! We all then returned to the hut for an evening of card games and sitting by the fire.

On Sunday morning we did a thorough clean of the hut before heading off for a slightly windy day of climbing. Some of the group returned to Little Tryfan for yet more multi-pitch (featuring a small rope-throwing mishap), while the rest ventured to Moelwyns for an exciting day of climbing and learning to abseil.

All round, it was a successful trip! It was lovely to have the MAM helping out, and great for the new stoats to meet them :)
